My Story
Chuck’s scientific background (including chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics) and legal experience (20+ years preparing and prosecuting patents) helps clients assess current technologies, prepare patent applications as needed, and prosecute patent applications in the US and abroad, as well as managing patent portfolios. As a patent attorney his patent prosecution experience includes patent preparation, patent prosecution, due diligence, patentability analysis, freedom to operate analysis, and patent strategy formulation and implementation.
Chuck has drafted provisional and non-provisional patent applications in various fields, including small molecule therapeutics, vaccines, protein therapeutics, nucleic acid therapeutics, gene therapy, DNA sequencing, protein folding algorithms, herbal therapeutics, DNA microarray analysis, chemical processes, and medical devices.
As patent attorney, Chuck understands complex technologies and communicates effectively with academic experts as well as technology transfer teams. He frequently counsels universities, scientists and inventors.

Hobbies and Family
Chuck has been married to Barbara Garland Landrum for over 24 years. They have two sons. Tanner who is currently beginning his career with the Marine Corp, and Cooper who is a member of Bowie High School FFA (raising chickens and pigs for show) and the Capital City Soccer club. Chuck enjoys playing poker, gardening, playing and watching soccer, playing golf, and watching his Texas A&M Aggies play football during the fall.
